Pediatric Feeding Therapy for Infants, Toddlers, and Young Children

About

Eat Play Grow Slo

At Eat Play Grow Slo, it is our mission to provide family centered, pediatric occupational therapy and feeding therapy in the home, other natural settings (daycare, pre-school), and via teletherapy, with the intent of helping to provide the tools that little ones and their families need to move them forward on the road to becoming healthy, happy eaters. On this journey, it is our intent to provide services in a nurturing and respectful manner, always considering the child’s unique skill set, and integrating best practices to help children and their families to thrive. We strongly believe that early intervention and teamwork are key to this process. It takes a village, and we are better together!

Our Services

  • Occupational Therapy / Feeding Therapy

We provide evaluation and treatment services to address difficulties with feeding and swallowing skills. Evaluations are provided in the home, followed by services in the home, daycare, and / or pre-school settings. We address postural control, motor skills, oral sensory motor skills, and mealtime structure with the goal of helping to progress the feeding skills of infants, toddlers and young children.

  • TummyTime! Method

TummyTime! Method is a structured way to do tummy time to optimize nervous system regulation and promote functional gains. It was developed by Michelle Emanuel, Pediatric Occupational Therapist, for use with both tummy time difficulties, and as a therapeutic intervention to optimize neurodevelopment, social engagement, and help babies and families to love and embrace tummy time!

  • Teletherapy

Following an in-person evaluation, we provide feeding therapy and TummyTime! Method services via live videoconferencing. Therapeutic strategies and techniques are integrated into mealtime with specific adaptations unique to your child’s needs to build skills and optimize positive mealtime experiences.
